Annual Scientific Congress

Each year, the BOA holds an Annual Scientific Congress in different parts of the UK and Ireland. This 'flagship-of-revalidation' attracts both specialist and generalist surgeons, healthcare practitioners and those considering a career in orthopaedic surgery.  Indeed the congress is seen within the orthopaedic industry as the ultimate one-stop-shop where every delegate encounters an individualised portfolio of learning and activities on their journey with us through the scientific programme throughout the congress and beyond.

The Congress comprises of Education Seminars, Plenary and Named lectures, Question & Answer Sessions covering training, research or management responsibilities.  Also taking place are Workshops, Instructional Sessions, Special Interest Groups, Free Paper sessions, Industry updates and much more. There are numerous reasons why those involved in Orthopaedic should attend.

Each attending delegate will find a vast and wide-ranging array of knowledge available to keep them abreast of our rapidly, ever-changing world of musculoskeletal disorders.

Registration fees for delegates to attend are some of the keenest around.  They are specifically tailored to cater for everyone, especially for those with severely limited funding for study leave and general time and resource restraints.

"..I think you can safely say, that the entire width, breadth and depth of Trauma & Orthopaedic education can be found under one roof at the BOA. It's hard to imagine anywhere else that has the ability - and credibility - to create such a vibrant sense of value and purpose to all my Orthopaedic colleagues..."
