Consultant Disclaimer
The initial information contained in your database entry is taken from the information held on our membership database. You may edit this information to show such matters as your preferred forename, for your “consultant” profile, and you may upload a photograph [width 1:height 1.5] before you make your entry ‘live’ and available to the public. You may also add further information in the optional fields provided as you see fit. Your online profile will contract to show only the information you have provided. Non-populated fields will not be visible to the public. The BOA takes no responsibility for the content of your entry since you will have had an opportunity to verify it, and you may instantly control its status as “live” and therefore viewable by the public, or otherwise. Your Specialist Society affiliation however is ineditable by you and if you feel this is incorrect then you should contact the Specialist Societies Office at the BOA to resolve any issue before making your entry “live” and therefore viewable by the public.
You must ensure that anything contained in your online database entry is accurate, up to date, and honest. You must not post material that is in our opinion indecent, inappropriate or defamatory of anyone. All matter included in your entry must relate to you, your qualifications and other professional matters. If you post any material that does not comply with these requirements BOA will discontinue your database entry without further notice. You should review your public entry at least twice a year to ensure it is still up-to-date, and amend or remove it if it is not. BOA will, at the earliest practicable point, remove the public “consultant” records of any retired or non-active Fellows and invite new Home Fellows to subscribe to the consultant database as they wish.
The BOA can take no responsibility for the accuracy of your professional information and can neither take responsibility nor accept liability, for the uses to which your personal information may be put.
Please Note: the information you provide or change in your Consultant Profile will not be reflected in the BOA Members’ Database / BOA Members’ Handbook unless you separately notify us via the BOA Website at Membership/Edit My Profile or email membership@boa.ac.uk
Update Policy
Consultants may update or entirely withdraw their entries at any time. Furthermore, the BOA reserves the right to remove any entry not updated in a period of six calendar months and any other entries at its own discretion. At regular intervals, newly-appointed Home Fellows will be added, and any retiring or deceased Home Fellows will be removed.
