Communications Adviser
The BOA has appointed a Communications Adviser to give professional advice in its campaign to raise its profile, develop better links with political and governmental decision-makers and improve its communications with members.
Simon Scott, has been appointed to work on a flexible part-time basis with effect from 1st January 2010.
Simon is a specialist whose work and contacts extend across the entire media spectrum of print, broadcast, newswire and .com. He has extensive experience of working closely at CEO and senior management level on all aspects of planned media outreach including media training and speechwriting.
He has worked (among others) for the Central Office of Information, Price Waterhouse, Financial Dynamics, Bell Pottinger and Edelman, where he was Head of Media Relations.
His clients have included UPS, Commercial Union, UK Yellow Pages, McGraw-Hill, Coopers & Lybrand, Benckiser, Bank Austria, Deloitte, Bank Boston, Richard Ellis, McGraw-Hill and ICN Pharmaceuticals.
He has published two books on Media Relations and Corporate Reputation.
Simon will work together with John Timperley, the Council Lead for Communications.
