President's Welcome

Welcome to the BOA website and thank you for visiting.

During my year in office I will be leading the BOA in its attempts to ensure that we really represent and make a difference in those areas which challenge us as Orthopaedic Surgeons and trouble both patient and surgeon alike. One of our agenda priorities is to ensure that the BOA Standards for Trauma Care (BOASTs), particularly for the frail elderly, are acknowledged and moved up the political agenda to improve the service we are able to deliver in every hospital in the country.
