The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery is the BOA’s official scientific journal.
JBJS is a core journal and essential reading for general as well as specialist orthopaedic surgeons worldwide. All BOA members receive a subscription to this world leading journals package through their BOA membership.
The subscription package consists of both British and American Volumes and includes:

JBJS selects articles for publication using first class peer review and rejection rates for these journals are 80-85%. Both volumes are highly cited, with half lives over 10 years and impact factors ranked within the top 10 in Orthopaedics (Thomson Reuters).

BOA Journal Donation Subscriptions
The BOA has some journal subscriptions available as donations to deserving orthopaedic departments or hospital libraries in developing countries. The BOA has set aside £1000 per year for this purpose. Contact secretary@boa.ac.uk at the BOA for more details.
