Research Committee

The principal aim of the Research Committee is to define a strategy for the support of research, both basic science and clinical, in orthopaedic surgery.

This committee has published its Research Agenda focusing on six major areas of interest which will form the basis of future calls for project funding and of approaches to major potential donors, both corporate and charitable.

The Committee will liaise with the Grants Committee and will receive recommendations from that Committee for project funding.

It will institute a mechanism to ensure feedback and financial accounting by researchers and will keep major donors informed of the progress of projects.
