New BOA/BESS publication!

BESS with the support of the BOA have recently published guidelines on the investigation and management of Periprosthetic Joint Infection (PJI) in the shoulder and elbow. PJI is a relatively rare but potentially devastating complication affecting shoulder and elbow arthroplasty. Considering the severity of this infection, the BOA and BESS have recently developed guidelines on best practice and management of shoulder and elbow PJI based on a combination of the available evidence combined and the consensus of a working group comprised of BESS surgeons, infectious disease physicians and BESS physiotherapists.
