Laura Deriu
Children’s Orthopaedic Consultant, Leeds Children’s Hospital
Miss Laura Deriu has been a Children’s Orthopaedic Consultant at Leeds Children’s Hospital since 2015.
She did her higher surgical training in Rome (Italy) and underwent fellowship training in the United States and United Kingdom. She enjoys the generality of paediatric orthopaedics, but has a particular interest in trauma, hip conditions and foot deformities.
Miss Deriu is a keen trainer and is highly involved at regional and national level. She was awarded the BOTA TOTY in 2020-2021. She sits in the Education Committee of the British Society of Children’s Orthopaedics Surgery and is highly involved in coordinating local and national educational events.
She loves travelling, reading, dancing, cooking and looking after her friends and family.
