Karen Robinson, BMedSci, MBChB, FRCS (Tr & Orth), Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals
Karen is a Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She has a specialist orthopaedic interest in general trauma, pelvis and acetabular surgery and an elective practice of primary hip arthroplasty. Karen is part of a dedicated hip fracture team, and has an additional role as a Major Trauma Consultant within their Major Trauma Centre.
She also plays an active role in the teaching and training of medical students, junior doctors and specialty registrars. Karen is part of the faculty for the Postgraduate Orthopaedics course, and has contributed to the Postgraduate Orthopaedics: Candidates guide to FRCS examination textbook and the 3rd edition of Examination Techniques in Orthopaedics, on which this course is based. She has a passion to provide quality teaching and training of orthopaedic skills to the next generation.
