Hiro Tanaka is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Newport, South Wales. He is passionate about improving the quality of surgical training and promoting clinical leadership in the NHS. He designed the BOFAS Principles Course on behalf of the Education Committee in 2010 and continues to be a member of the committee. He an examiner for the FRCS (Orth).
Raju is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Department of Orthopaedics, King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London the King’s STAR Academic Group. He is a member of the Faculty of Sports Medicine of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. He has received NIHR, ORUK, ECTB grants, and BOFAS & AO awards, and apartakes as a RCS Eng Mentor. His interests include limb reconstruction and joint salvage, including arthroplasty, deformity correction, and Charcot Reconstruction. Utilising stable osteotomies and angular correction for definitive fixation and with his colleagues established the red, amber and green debridement technique. His research has focused on understanding and improving outcomes of foot surgery.
