Vishnu Kalra

International President, DePuy Synthes

Vishnu Kalra is the International President for DePuy Synthes. He has more than 20 years of experience at Johnson & Johnson, with a proven track record of delivering growth, driving innovation and developing high-performing teams across multiple regions and business sectors. Most recently, he served as Company Group Chairman, MedTech Asia Pacific, where he guided our business across the dynamic APAC region, shaping market strategy and creating a culture of innovation and inclusive leadership.

Over his two-decade tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Vishnu has held diverse leadership positions across multiple functions, sectors, and industries. Most recently, he led as President of Johnson & Johnson’s surgery business, Ethicon, in the United States, focusing on commercial strategy and execution. Previously, as Worldwide President of Wound Closure & Healing at Ethicon, Vishnu managed the global P&L and brand portfolio. His expertise also extends to Johnson & Johnson’s orthopaedics business, DePuy Synthes, where he spearheaded various platforms and regional markets, including a significant stint in South Asia, for 12 years. Additionally, Vishnu's diverse experience includes a role as Managing Director for the Gulf Cooperation Council in the company’s Innovative Medicine business.

Vishnu holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Pune in India and a Master of Business Administration from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
