Mr Haleem completed his Higher Orthopaedic Training Programme obtaining his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the prestigious London Deanery where he was inspired to take up a career in Spinal Surgery.
He has consequently actively worked towards developing and enhancing his specialist skills in world class training centres both in the United Kingdom and worldwide. He has also gained the Eurospine Spine Diploma and the Eurospine Advanced Spine Diploma during this process.
His three complex fellowships at the world-class and cutting-edge Oxford, St. George’s and Southampton University Hospitals provided a unique opportunity to work closely with several leading lights in spinal surgery (both orthopaedic and neurosurgical colleagues) in Major Trauma Centres exposing him to a wide range of degenerative, trauma and elective experiences involving the cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine that have shaped his patient-centred, empathic yet scientific and thoughtful approach to patient care.
He has travelled overseas on prize-winning fellowships to Hong Kong and Istanbul to improve his spinal and paediatric skills at renowned centres where he gained immensely from leading spinal experts. He is known to be a thinking surgeon who always tries to find a better way of improving patient care and outcomes, this is evidenced in his two classifications that enhance patient safety and care.
