Philip Breedon

Philip Breedon is Professor of Smart Technologies at Nottingham Trent University. Philip is the NTU lead for membership of the UK-Robotics and Autonomous Systems (UKRAS) network and is a member and lead assessor for the UK’s Department of Health National Professor Philip Breedon leads the Medical Engineering Design and Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineering Research groups at NTU. His PhD is in robotics and AI and he is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered IT professional. He is a deputy chair on the UK’s Department of Health National Institute for Health and Care Research invention for innovation funding panel, a member of the UK-RAS executive committee and the Royal College of Surgeons MSK Robotic and Digital Surgery Subgroup. He is a Royal Academy of Engineering Mentor. Research interests and latest projects centre on surgical and medical product development based on emerging technologies and materials, AI, autonomous and humanoid robotic systems and extended reality technologies.  

Vineet Batta

Vineet works as a Fellow in Hip & Knee arthroplasty at Luton & Dunstable NHS University Hospital. He has built an app to "Automate Identification & Classification of all Orthopaedic Implants using AI” and currently collaborates with UK NJR to provide a solution to the global orthopaedic community for identifying unknown implants.
