Self care for tough times

28 May at 12:30pm
The first in the NOA wellbeing workshops series, delivered by Work Well Being on behalf of the NOA will be led by Author and leading self-care expert, Suzy Reading who will identify the skills and practices that help us navigate stress, loss and change. This workshop will help you through and out the other side, explaining what self-care is in relation to coping and restoring from life’s challenges, and provides a greater understanding of what constitutes ‘tough times’ and what a ‘normal’ response looks like. This practical toolkit includes movement, massage, stretches, breathing and mantras to help us express and move through our feelings in a safe and healthy way. You will leave the workshop with your own roadmap for self-care for tough times.

Resilience - recharge the inner battery

13 July at 7pm
The third in the NOA wellbeing workshops series, delivered by Work Well Being on behalf of the NOA will be led by expert Steph Peltier will cover the neurobiology of resilience and how to cultivate it. We all have spent a huge amount of mental energy to adapt to the Covid situation. Working from home, communicating with stakeholders in a very different way, juggling childcare with work, managing everyone's expectations and for some experiencing isolation and loneliness, all of this has been draining our inner battery. Of course, some of us are naturally more resilient than others but resilience is not something that we have or have not. Once we understand the neurobiology of resilience and the impact of a drained battery on our wellbeing and our performance at work, you will have the opportunity to identify your energy leaks and depleting activities and uncover ways to patch them up.
