Joint Action: The Orthopaedic Research Appeal of the BOA
We are grateful to our BOA members, patients and members of the public who have fundraised for and donated to Joint Action (the BOA’s orthopaedic research appeal) research grants and encourage you to continue to support us as we invest these funds in new ways for the benefit of research into Trauma and Orthopaedics.
We raise funds for research infrastructure activities, in particular a resource to provide research methodology support to develop clinical trials in trauma and orthopaedics - at the University of York, called the BOA Orthopaedic Surgery Research Centre (BOSRC).Donate
We have now launched the Joint Action Christmas Appeal! Please consider giving a gift to help make a difference as money raised from this appeal can help us to fund life-changing trauma and orthopaedic research. Further information on the research BOSRC are doing can be found here and to donate please click on the donate button above or visit the Just Giving website, thank you.
We have a number of places available for several fundraising events in 2020 which will help to raise money for Joint Action. If you would like to participate in one of our Challenge Events please contact us.

Thinking of the Future? Leave a Lasting Legacy
Whether you're someone who is suffering from a musculoskeletal disorder or whether your life's work is helping those who are suffering, you can really make a difference. Once you have considered your immediate friends and family, please consider leaving a life-changing gift to Joint Action (the Orthopaedic research appeal of the BOA).
No one likes to think about their own passing, but just a short time spent talking to a solicitor or professional Will writer and sorting out your affairs will safeguard your family's future. By writing a Will you can decide how your estate is divided between loved ones, and if you wish you can leave part of your estate to a charity.
If you are a researcher who has previously received Joint Action funding and you have an enquiry, need our logo for your posters/presentations, or need to provide a report, you can continue to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately, we are no longer able to issue Orthocards (new or replacements). Please rest assured we did not take this decision lightly, rather on grounds of economic viability. We suggest that you ask your GP or consultant for a letter of confirmation but we cannot guarantee this will be effective.
If you have any other queries about the above, please don’t hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
