Through our policy and engagement activities, we:

  • Develop guidance on policy issues that affect our members and the patients they care for, including initiatives such as GIRFT implementation guidance.
  • Informing policy by providing high quality evidence and expertise on trauma and orthopaedic issues through:
    • consultation responses and position statements;
    • engagement with policymakers through correspondence and meetings; and
    • representation across a broad range of national bodies and committees.
  • Championing important policy issues that support our renewed vision 'Relieving pain, restoring function, transforming lives.'
  • Collaborating with partners and stakeholders to maximise the impact and effectiveness of our policy and engagement activities.
