We are delighted to launch the inaugural BOA Awards, celebrating excellence, championing innovation and recognising those making a difference in trauma and orthopaedics.

The BOA Awards shine a spotlight on the outstanding teams, trainees and innovators driving positive change across trauma and orthopaedic care. From fresh ideas and collaborative approaches to improvements in patient care, the awards celebrate achievements that make a real impact – while inspiring others across the orthopaedic community to learn, share and build on that success.

Inspired by the Congress 2027 theme, Success through Synergy, our inaugural awards will recognise the power of working together to achieve more. We're looking for inspiring examples of collaboration, innovative approaches to delivering care and measurable improvements that benefit patients and the wider trauma and orthopaedic community.

Key dates

Applications open in late October 2026 and close on 31st January 2027. Finalists will be confirmed by June 2027, and winners will be presented at BOA Congress 2027 in September.
