About the award

This award recognises a project led by trauma and orthopaedic trainees that shows excellent teamwork and collaboration and delivers meaningful impact beyond direct patient care.

Your project might improve the workplace experience, education and training, workforce development, leadership, wellbeing, sustainability, or equality, diversity and inclusion. It could involve digital innovation, wider service improvement, or any other initiative that creates lasting benefit for trainees, healthcare organisations, the profession or society.

We want to celebrate trainees who spot opportunities for improvement, work with others to deliver change, and show innovation, leadership and measurable impact.

Who can apply

UK trauma and orthopaedic trainees, applying individually or as part of a trainee-led team. Teams may be multidisciplinary and based in any sector, provided the work relates directly to NHS patient care in the UK. Your team must include at least one current BOA member.
