Members may recall that PHIN (Private Healthcare Information Network) has been tasked with implementing a series of CMA (Competition and Market Authority) remedies to increase transparency in privately funded healthcare. In 2017, we published three documents to help our members in relation to this initiative (downloadable below). These documents are:

1) About the launch of PHIN’s Consultant Portal and the opportunity for consultants to check their data.
Please download the full document here.

2) We understand that some members would like to know more about the background to this initiative and how the plans affect T&O, and we have prepared a background briefing document for this purpose.
Please download the full document here.

3) The BOA has been working collaboratively with PHIN and sees it as important to be closely involved in the work on this initiative, given the large number of our members who are likely to be affected by it. In November 2017, We published a position statement document that outlines the view we have taken on various issues.
