The aim of the committee is to focus on the provision of high quality education for consultants, SAS staff and SpRs and to maintain an overview of other educational issues that affect members in their specialist practice.

The BOA’s Education and Revalidation committee is looking to recruit an additional member. The committee is responsible for developing and providing high quality education for Consultants, SAS Surgeons and Specialist Trainees, whilst maintaining an overview of broader education issues affecting members in their practice. The committee meets face to face 3-4 times a year with additional virtual meetings as required.
The position is open to all consultants who are BOA members. Applications should take the form of a letter of no more than two sides of A4 outlining the following:
- Your interest in training and education, including your rationale for applying
- Your credentials
- What particular contribution you would bring to the work of the Education and Revalidation Committee
