The Bristol Hip Arthroplasty Course is a well known international hip meeting which was initiated by John Newman in the late 1980s. it has since grown in stature and reputation. It is now co-convened by Evert Smith, Anthony Ward, Richie Gill, Richard Baker, Mehool Acharya and Michael Whitehouse. It attracts a strong international faculty and is well known for its debates after each session.
The conference aspires to improve current practice and promote clinical excellence as the faculty present their views on issues valid to a hip practice including outcomes, new procedures, materials, bearing surfaces, design, primary and revision hip replacement and their complications.
