Global network disruption affecting Stryker

We are aware of an evolving situation following a global network disruption affecting Stryker, one of a number of major suppliers of trauma and orthopaedic devices and services.

NHS Supply Chain is working to resolve the situation and will clarify the extent and duration of the effect on surgical procedures as soon as this is known.

The recent experience of addressing the hiatus in the bone cement supply demonstrated the value of a co-ordinated response from BOA and Specialist Societies, involving NHS Supply Chain, NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care.

We will work with these stakeholders to identify and implement alternative suppliers, provide practical advice to mitigate the consequences of this disruption, and communicate new information as soon as it becomes available.
