Who should attend?

This course is suitable for post-CCT surgeons on fellowship, surgeons in locum consultant posts, consultants within 3 years of appointment and surgeons in autonomous practice (e.g Specialist Doctors).

Educational aims/learning objectives:

By the end of this 1.5-day course, new consultants will be able to:

  • Transition effectively into their consultant role with confidence in leadership, clinical, and managerial responsibilities.
  • Apply strategies to manage professional challenges including job planning, working with teams, and handling difficult situations.
  • Build sustainable career pathways that integrate excellence in patient care, education, research, and personal wellbeing.

The course fee includes access to all sessions, overnight accommodation, and the course dinner, providing both an educational and networking opportunity in a relaxed setting.
