Update regarding Stryker cyber attack – 25th March
Dear Colleagues,
Following an update yesterday evening by NHS Supply Chain and NHS England to the BOA and Specialist Societies, stock levels are satisfactory and therefore the advice remains that trauma and elective orthopaedic procedures continue as planned.
NHS Supply Chain and NHS England are seeking clarification from Stryker as to the rates of use of existing stock and the resumption of production.
NHS Trusts can reach out to their regional customer services team at NHS Supply Chain for help and advice on ordering through NHS Supply Chain systems. It would be preferable for this to come as a coordinated query from the relevant NHS Procurement teams, so the customer services team can ensure the right people are involved to find a solution. The NHS Supply Chain ICN page for this incident is a resource which is accessible to anyone. This page has formal comms which are agreed by all parties, contains useful links, and is updated on a regular basis. Please see the link below:

Whilst the principles of this advice are identical for the devolved nations, the operational details will differ and be led by local arrangements.
There will be a further meeting on Friday, 27th March and we will issue updated guidance if appropriate.
Yours faithfully
